In less than a decade, ManoMano has become a key player in the home improvement and renovation sector.

Founded in France in 2013 by two French DIY enthusiasts amazed at the lack of digitalization in the market, ManoMano is now present in 6 European countries (France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany, UK), federates over 5,000 sellers and now offers the widest range of DIY and gardening products online (+19 million products references).

Motivated by the prospect of improving the living environment of their customers and convinced of the importance of the home market for sustainable consumption habits, the ManoMano teams want to help write a new page in their industry, which is struggling to reform itself. TEAM and CONTEXT  

Product organization at ManoMano is divided into 4 Trains (Mega-Tribes) 

• SPECIALIST OFFER: attract and partner with the Most Valuable Home Improvement Ecosystem (especially Sellers) to build a Unique Specialized Experience serving New Digital DIY Consumers

• VISITORS: help customers discover and purchase what they need  and transform the DIY marketplace to help construction entrepreneurs to run their business

• MONEY: provide a secure & best-in class pay-in and pay-out experience

• OPERATIONS: offer the most seamless and reassuring delivery and after sales experience 

Each train includes several Feature Teams (FTs). 

MISSIONS

As Product Manager Apprentice for Finance, you will learn from and support Marie-Laure, the Product Manager for the Finance Allocation Platform at ManoMano. You will have the opportunity to experience first hand the action of orchestrating and paying out more than 1,2B€ (yes, that’s billions of euros and it was our 2020 volume). 

You will participate in the various phases of the Finance Platform product life cycle. Marie-Laure, the Product Manager, will be your mentor and you will support her to achieve the goals of her group working hand in hand with Engineering, Business Stakeholders, Quality and the rest of the Product Team. 

If you want to learn about FinTech, Finance and Product Management in a unicorn and scaleup, this will be the right apprenticeship for you. 

1. Product discovery

Discover, analyze and understand our seller and business stakeholders pain points and unmet needs, thanks to different tools and methodologies and working with Finance, Legal and Compliance teams. 

2. Product testing & delivery 

Translate requirements and needs into well-defined user stories, product specifications or bug tickets. You will learn and participate in the agile rituals of the team plus the Agile at scale framework of ManoMano. 

3. Product Data

Understand user behavior by looking at different sources of data, notably our Datawarehouse, Datadog or Stripe.

4. Product Communication

You will learn how to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to your stakeholders and also how to communicate with Engineering Teams efficiently. 

PROFILE

• Education: You are a student. We embrace diversity and inclusion so we are open to any career you have chosen. 

• Communication: You can communicate effectively in English and French. You can listen and synthesize efficiently. French will be the main language you will be working with your colleagues. 

• Curious: Even if you do not really know what happens when you enter your card number online, you are curious about FinTech in general and would like to learn more about it. 

• Analytical mindset: You are comfortable analyzing data in Google sheets and you master pivot tables. 

• Product savvy: You are capable of explaining the key feature that a financial app is missing and most importantly, why it would make a difference. 

• Soft skills: You have developed empathy, you are kind, thoughtful and diligent. You are able to deep dive autonomously and raise your hand when you are blocked

Bonus points:

• Finance: You have experience in a Finance company. 

• Communication: You have a blog or you have written articles in a blogging platform or you actively communicate in your Twitter account.  

• E-commerce: You have already worked in an e-commerce company or Marketplace.

• DIY: You enjoy DIY, gardening or home improvement and want to profoundly play a role in the reinvention of this market.

2/ Video interview with Marie-Laure, the Product Manager and hiring manager and Vincent Head of Product Payment and Finance
